Our Story

Much like the complicated airspace around Prohibited Area P-56 in Washington DC, the P-56 Aviation Group aims to bring its expertise and insights to bear to help you navigate the complicated skies of today's aviation industry.
With experience in airlines, higher education, consulting, labor relations, and flight training, the P-56 Aviation Group can assistant you with a wide variety of services and products to help you achieve your goals and arrive at your destination efficiently.

Martin Rottler - Principal

A recognized expert in the areas of pilot supply and university/corporate partnerships, Martin has presented to a wide variety of government stakeholders, industry associations, academic conferences, and other nonprofits. Previous to the P-56 Aviation Group, he has worked as the head of university recruitment & diversity outreach for a large regional airline and as a faculty member at the Ohio State University and Korea Aerospace University.

He currently serves as the Secretary for the University Aviation Association and as a Director for NGPA’s Board of Directors. He has also served as the Chair of the Young Member’s Council-Aviation and is an appointed member of two Transportation Research Board Aviation Group committees. As part of his professional responsibilities and personal passions, has worked extensively with NGPA and WAI, serving as advisor for student groups at Ohio State and volunteering with local chapters in Dallas and Columbus; he is also a member of OBAP. Martin holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree from the University of North Dakota and is a Commercial Pilot as well as a Certified Flight Instructor.
Have a tennis ball that needs to be chased? Treats that need to be eaten? Piper is here to help. As Chief Canine Officer, Piper is responsible for outings to Founders Plaza, where she likes to watch airplanes, and keeping a keen canine presence around the office..
